Hi to all members of Southern Area

I am writing this looking out into my garden and can see the sun is shining and Spring is here with daffodils blooming, and following the recent reviews from the Government, things are definitely looking brighter for 2021.  Whilst I know that we will not be able to get out and about with our Area and Groups at the present time, we have now received further information from the Chairman & Director General that following the RoadMap given by the PM on the 22nd February, they are planning to open Club Sites without facilities from 12th April, and will be pleased to welcome all self-sufficient campers - That's Us!!.  They have also advised us that the Executive Committee have agreed that Meets & THS'S can also start from 12th April, but are to operate as pre-booked Pop up Camp Sites as we did in 2020 - of course, we know that this is subject to amendments, but things are definitely looking much brighter for 2021.  However, I would remind you to please check Out & About On Line, and our website for updates on the situation, we will endeavour to keep you all informed of any changes to the current situation.

You will see that our AGM is due to take place on Sunday 4th April at 15.00pm at the South of England Event Centre, Ardingly, however following the latest Guidance from the Government and HQ this will now be held as a Virtual AGM at the same time and date.  To request to be involved please contact our secretary Mrs Kathy Giles at kathygiles@mac.com for more information.
