A popular venue on the Ayrshire coast. It is a fairly tight site, all hard standing, no awnings or tents. The Puffin Cafe is nearby for morning coffee if the weather is being unkind.

Glenburn Dairy
Staying on the Ayrshire coast we move slightly south to Loans, near Troon. Again there are plenty of beaches and golf courses to keep everyone happy.

Milton of Crathes events field.
Opposite the entrance to Crathes Castle with a bus stop for travel to Banchory or Aberdeen. You can of course walk to Banchory along the old railway line which keeps you away from the road. There are many other walking and cycling routes from the site as well.

Castle Cary Caravan Park.
In Bonnie Galloway this is a grass rally field with full use of the site facilities excluding EHU. There is a pub on site for bar lunches and also a shop.

10 -- 21 DANDERHALL, Edinburgh
Drum Estate, Danderhall is only 5 miles from the centre of Edinburgh, but has a bus stop just outside the entrance to the Estate with buses running every 15 minutes into town. This makes it a convenient site for sampling all the delights of this historic city.

25 -- 5th July CREIFF.
Creiff and Strathearn Rugby FC
Moving on to Perthshire we are beside the River Earn on the spacious grassy surrounds of the rugby pitches. Again there is a bus stop nearby with the choice of going up to town or explore nearby Auchterarder, Comrie, Perth.
There is a garden centre with cafe nearby with Caithness Glass factory unit beside it. Up in Creiff itself there are a good selection of independent shops, cafes, hostelries as well as nice parks for walking.

16 -- 2 August CRAIL
Bankhead Farm
Only one mile from CRAIL with a walking path on the Coastal Trail, or in the opposite direction to Anstruther. There is a bus stop at the site entrance for travel either to Anstruther or the opposite direction to CRAIL and St Andrews. There is a farm shop hut nearby for fresh fruit supplies as well.

KELSO
Borders Events Centre
Down to the Beautiful Scottish Borders for our annual visit to this lovely town. It is an easy flat walk into town with its selection of independent shops, cafes, hostelries, garden centre , as well as a castle and a new fishing museum to visit.
Springwood Park has plenty space to pitch with a toilet and shower block available to use .

SEPTEMBER
14 -- 21 BRIDGE of ALLAN.
Strathallan Games Park
This site has a large grass area as well as a fairly large hard standing section so pitching up should not be a problem. No EHU, just fresh water and CDP points.
There are bus stops nearby giving the option of going along into town or venturing to Stirling or Glasgow. There are also train stations nearby giving access to the Central belt.
Bridge of Allan has a good selection of independent shops and cafes, hostelries with a flat walk from the site.

4 -- 8 SETON SANDS
THIS IS NOT A SECTION MEET . Book direct with Haven Holidays. They normally have a special deal price for 4 nights. You still get a full facilities pitch with EHU.

Back to St Andrews for our end of season rally. This is a full facility site with hard standing, and normally we have the use of the clubhouse and swimming pool.
The bus stop is at the entrance giving the option of going down into town or on to Dundee if you want to visit the new V & A Museum.

Scottish Area Motor Caravan Section - SAMCS. ALL members of the Camping and Caravanning Club in motorhomes, caravans or tents welcome, SAMCS me,mbers or not. Join in activities or not.
We have rallies in places with lots to do.
Very friendly. Party tent / hall for morning coffee and evening socials.
Rallies close to bus stops.
Sites suitable for motorhomes although caravans and tents welcome.

The prize is a bottle of wine.
